This year we've partnered with the Sebastopol Center for The Arts (SebArts) to be the central hub for PorchFest. SebArts was founded in 1988 and as many of you know, part of it's mission is to "...[cultivate] creativity and [inspire] appreciation for the transformative power of art." It only makes sense that Sebastopol PorchFest and SebArts came together to promote and cultivate this year's lineup of talented acts that will perform across seven stages. Three of those stages are located at SebArts.

In conjunction with PorchFest this year, SebArts opens its Art Trails preview. Starting September 13, some of the work of the ~150 artists who will participate in Art Trails this year will be on display in the galleries at SebArts. Please take some time on PorchFest day to visit the galleries and see the work of these local fine artists.

Volunteers needed

It’s not too late to be part of the action!  Volunteer at Porchfest Sebastopol 2025.

In fact, we are having a meeting this Sunday 8/31/25 at the virtuous Clam Bar to recruit volunteers, choose tasks, meet one another and have some pizza!

Come on by 6pm, Maple x High St.

We couldn’t do this alone.

Help us out!

Friedman’s

We are honored to have as a sponsor list the venerable Friedman’s Home Improvement.  I’ve personally been going to Friedman’s since moving to Sebastopol in 2002 and have been given exceptional service by Joanne Wallace in the cabinets department.  She really goes above and beyond and I always stop by to say hello to her when I need anything from their Santa Rosa location.

Oh, and they consistently have the best music playing of any hardware store I’ve been to.

Thank you Friedman’s!

Friedman’s Home Improvement

Perhaps due to last year's overwhelming success, closing High Street for 2,000+ people proved to be too problematic for the City, its permitting department and a few neighbors.

For that, we are truly sad - but the show must go on.

We will be at the Sebastopol Center for the Arts in Ives Park.

If you'd like Porchfest to visit your neighborhood, let us know where!

Ok, expanding on to Florence Ave in 2025 was my idea and, grand as it was, was a bit too much for us to take on. So, we’re keeping it small but expanding slightly into the Center for the Arts with 4 stages and an after hours show inside. That will be our headquarters this year with a few food trucks and a beer & wine garden. More details on that will be forthcoming, I promise.

But the latest bold idea is to MOVE Porchfest around to different neighborhoods each year. (Why should High St. get all the fun?) So if you’re interested in having Porchfest Sebastopol in your neighborhood next year, drop us a line and describe where you live and why this should happen. This lessens the impact on one area and spreads the joy to other areas. Win-win, right?

Please check our FAQ with how you can be a conscientious attendee while keeping our communities intact. We live here.

July Update

We’re in danger of not being able to afford the permits to close some streets. Basically, we’ve outgrown our ‘block party’ status.

How can you help? Please email the council to show your support of our endeavors on creating an empowering community space free of charge. citycouncil@cityofsebastopol.gov.

Additionally, you could show up to next Tuesday’s July 15th City Council meeting at 6pm in the Youth Annex and make your voice heard.
